Information We Collect
We collect: (a) your mobile number for authentication via OTP, (b) the display name you provide, (c) contact lists you create or import (names and phone numbers), (d) call session history and outcomes, (e) WhatsApp broadcast records, (f) SMS send records, and (g) app preferences and settings.
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to operate the App features: building and managing contact lists, sequencing calls, sending SMS and WhatsApp messages, tracking session outcomes, displaying history and analytics, syncing your preferences, and sending you OTP codes for login.
Device Permissions
The App requests the following permissions: (a) Phone/Call (CALL_PHONE) — to place outgoing calls to your contact lists, (b) Contacts — to import contacts into lists, (c) SMS (SEND_SMS, Send only) — to send SMS broadcast messages from your device to your selected contacts, (d) Call Log (READ_CALL_LOG, Read only) — to read the duration and outcome of the most recent call placed by the app for automatic call outcome tracking, (e) Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE) — to detect dual SIM configuration and call state transitions, (f) Answer Phone Calls (ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS) — to allow ending calls from the in-call overlay, (g) Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) — to show a session progress overlay while the phone dialer is active, (h) Internet — for authentication, OTP delivery, feedback, and error reporting.
Why We Need Sensitive Permissions
READ_CALL_LOG: After the app places each outgoing call, it reads only the single most recent call log entry to determine whether the call was answered and how long it lasted. This enables automatic outcome tracking (connected vs. no answer) without requiring the user to manually mark each call. The app does not browse, display, export, or share your call history. It accesses only the last entry immediately after a call placed by the app.
SEND_SMS: The app sends SMS messages that you compose to your selected contact lists. It sends only the message you type, only to contacts you explicitly choose, and only when you tap the Send button. The app does not read, receive, or access your SMS inbox. It never sends messages without your direct action.
CALL_PHONE: The app places outgoing phone calls to contacts in your lists during calling sessions. Calls are only placed when you start a session and are made sequentially from your device using your carrier plan.
READ_PHONE_STATE: Used to detect dual SIM configuration on your device so you can choose which SIM to dial from, and to monitor call state transitions (ringing, connected, ended) for session tracking.
Data Storage
Your contact lists, call history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Authentication tokens and your user profile (name, phone) are stored securely on our servers (AWS). Call and message records are stored on-device only and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly use a backup feature.
Third-Party Services
We use: (a) AWS for authentication and user profile storage, (b) MSG91 for OTP delivery via SMS, (c) Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring (no personal data is included in reports), (d) WhatsApp (Meta) — messages are sent via the WhatsApp app on your device; we do not access your WhatsApp account. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising SDKs, or sell data to third parties.
SMS & OTP
OTP codes for login are delivered via MSG91 SMS service. SMS broadcast messages are sent directly from your device using your mobile carrier. The App only requests SEND_SMS permission — it never reads, receives, or accesses your SMS inbox.
What We Do NOT Do
The App does NOT: (a) read your SMS inbox or incoming messages, (b) browse or display your full call history, (c) act as a default phone dialer or default SMS handler, (d) send messages or place calls without your explicit action, (e) share any personal data with advertisers or third parties, (f) access financial SMS or transaction data.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising. Data may be disclosed only: (a) to provide the service, (b) to comply with legal obligations, or (c) to protect our rights or the safety of users.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual lists, sessions, and history within the App. To delete your account and all associated data, use the sign-out option in Settings or contact us. Account deletion is processed within 30 days.
Security
We protect your data using industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure token-based authentication, and access controls on our servers. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) access your personal data, (b) correct inaccurate data, (c) request deletion of your data, (d) withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The revision date will be indicated at the top of this page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Jan Sampark ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to contact the numbers you add. You represent that you have obtained consent from the individuals in your contact lists before reaching out to them.
Permitted Use
Jan Sampark is designed for legitimate outreach, community engagement, and communication. You must comply with all applicable telemarketing, DND (Do Not Disturb), and bulk messaging regulations in India.
Communication Features
The App provides tools for phone calls, SMS messaging, and WhatsApp broadcasts. Calls and SMS are placed from your own device and mobile number using your carrier plan. Standard carrier charges apply. WhatsApp messages are sent through the WhatsApp application installed on your device.
Permissions & Data Access
To deliver its core features, the App requires: (a) CALL_PHONE — to place outgoing calls to contacts in your lists; (b) SEND_SMS — to send SMS broadcast messages you compose to your selected contacts; (c) READ_CALL_LOG — to read the duration and outcome of the most recent call placed by the app, enabling automatic call outcome tracking without manual input; (d) READ_PHONE_STATE — to detect dual SIM configuration for call routing. The App does not read your SMS inbox, does not browse your call history beyond the last entry, and does not act as a default phone or SMS handler. All permissions are requested at runtime with user consent.
Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for: (a) the content of messages and calls you make, (b) honouring opt-out and DND requests promptly, (c) keeping your contact lists lawful, accurate and up to date, (d) ensuring SMS content complies with applicable regulations, and (e) not exceeding messaging limits set by WhatsApp or your carrier.
Account and Authentication
Your account is tied to your mobile number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and authentication tokens. Do not share your account access with others.
Calls and Charges
Calls are placed from your own number and mobile plan. Standard carrier charges apply. Jan Sampark never places calls without your action. We are not responsible for any charges incurred through your mobile carrier.
Prohibited Activity
You must not use Jan Sampark for spam, harassment, impersonation, fraud, phishing, distribution of malware, or any unlawful purpose. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app. Accounts violating these terms may be suspended or terminated without notice.
Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by Appslio. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the App for its intended purpose.
Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, delivery of SMS or WhatsApp messages, or call connectivity. Delivery depends on your carrier, device, and third-party services.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appslio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including lost data, missed calls, or undelivered messages.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account from the Settings screen, which will erase your data from our servers.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will indicate the revision date at the top of this page.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Rajasthan, India.
